SITE VISIT AGENDA Fort Washington (FOWA) Lighthouse Road & Lighthouse Rehabilitation 13221 Fort Washington Road Fort Washington, MD 20744 Solicitation #140P3022R0030 8/31/2022 11:00 AM ED. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Rehabilitation of the historic lighthouse at Fort Washington. The intent is to repair the lighthouse "in kind" to the greatest extent possible. The rehabilitation will not change the appearance of the exterior character defining features of the lighthouse. All rotted structural elements and siding will be replaced. New windows with glazing will replace the current windows that are not historic and do not have muntins where glazing could be installed. The new windows will replicate the configuration of the current sash and will be fixed in place. The existing wood door will be replaced with a new wood door that matches the original one but will have an added louver to allow for the ventilation of the lighthouse. New linear vents will also be added at the soffit. All wood and exterior metal roof components will be re-painted. The project is limited to the lighthouse and its immediate footprint, including the complete exterior envelope, roof, and foundation. The interior rehabilitation will be limited to improvements needed to promote the structural integrity of the lighthouse and ensure it is weathertight and functional. There are no utility upgrades included in the project. All questions shall be addressed in writing to the Contract Specialist. Question Cutoff Date/Time is 9/9/2022 at 12:00 PM ED.
