Renovation of an educational facility in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The scope of work includes HVAC system upgrades at the campus including but not limited to AHU replacement, new ductwork and terminal units, VRF system for admin areas, pump replacement, new DDC controls, cooling tower refurbishment and creation of a separate boiler room in the existing central plant. Each individual Proposal package submitted must be accompanied by Bid Bond made payable to Owner in an amount of five percent (5%) of the Proposal price (for Proposal bond purposes, the Proposal price shall include the base Proposal, plus all alternates; however, the Contract price shall be as awarded by Galena Park Independent School District). Proposal Bond shall be in the form of a Cashier's Check or a Proposal Bond, duly executed by proposer as principal and having as surety thereon, a corporate surety company duly authorized and admitted to do business in the State of Texas and licensed by the State of Texas to issue such bond, as a guarantee that the proposer will enter into a Contract and execute required Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days of Galena Park Independent School District award of Contract. A Proposal Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal amount is required. Question Deadline 8/19/2022 5:00 PM (CT) Response Deadline: 8/25/2022 2:00 PM (CT) In the event of any violation of the clause set forth in Section 16 of this Attachment, the Contractor and any subcontractor responsible therefor shall be liable for the unpaid wages. In addition, such Contractor and subcontractor shall be liable to the United States (in the case of work done under contract for the District of Columbia or a territory, to such District or to such territory), for liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, employed in violation of the clause set forth in this Section, in the sum of $10 for each calendar day on which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in subsection (a) of this Section. The Contractor is required to pay not less than the wage scale of the various classes of labor as shown on the "Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule" in the Supplementary Conditions to the General Conditions of the Contract provided by the Owner. The specified wage rates are minimum rates only, and the Owner will not consider any claims for additional compensation made by any Contractor because of payment by the Contractor of any wage rates in excess of the applicable minimum rate contained in the Contract Documents. Notice to Proceed 9/30/2022 Final Completion 9/17/2023 GPISD reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, the right to negotiate with any proposers after submission of proposals, and at its discretion, may waive any formalities or minor irregularities regarding the proposals.
