This project is the implementation of the Envision Broadway in Oak Park Plan, which was approved by City Council in March 2020. Proposed improvements include a lane reduction, buffered class II bike lanes, signal and pedestrian crossing improvements. Envision Broadway in Oak Park is one of many projects that will contribute to transforming Broadway into a complete street. The northern limits will connect to Broadway Complete Street Project and the southern limits will connect to safety and mobility improvements as part of the Broadway Vision Zero Project. Envision Broadway in Oak Park is a logical and important connection to close the gaps between the two projects and create a cohesive multi-modal community street. As required by federal law, Caltrans has established a statewide overall Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal. In order to ascertain whether that statewide overall DBE goal is being achieved, Caltrans is tracking DBE participation on all federal-aid contracts administered by cities/counties and other local agencies.
