Site work and renovation of a museum in Montreal, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a five-story above grade museum; and for site work for a museum.

Upgrades, repairs and major renovations to the Biosphere museum located on the territory of the Jean-Drapeau Park to retain its original mandate of educating its visitors about climate change. The scope of the project includes upgrades to the building to reduce the greenhouse emission, energy consumption according to the sustainable development principles, improvement to universal accessibility while preserving all heritage aspects of the facility. The scope of the project includes extended landscaping work. TIMELINE: The project is preliminary. An architectural professional consultant awarded for the preparation of a Functional and technical program and phasing strategy has submitted the Study report to the owner. Owner is reviewing the project scope, establishing a funding package for the project realization and is seeking required approvals and additional funding from diffêrent level of government. Scope of work, project budget and timelines of the project development are not determined at this time. Project will be followed if/when it proceed to a design stage. Coverage of this report has been discontinued. Note. According to preliminary estimation total funding that is expected to be provided by federal, provincial and municipal authorities will amount to $45 million over five years.
