Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Glendale, Arizona. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.

This project is a Design/Build project for building 940 and will include replacement of the HVAC Mechanical System (Chillers, Towers, Boiler, and related piping) CRAH (Computer Room AHU) and Energy Management Control Systems and the Fire Alarm/Mass Notification and Fire Suppression Systems upgrades as well as auxiliary HVAC equipment (pumps, valves, etc.) and piping materials. Design of Mechanical and CRAH system must include heat load calculations based on simulator CPU demands and requirements. This facility will be occupied during construction activities. During ductwork, ceiling and sprinkler head replacement in the administrative areas, the occupants will move to a different location until the area is safe to move back (approximately 3 months). At this time, all work shall be completed in the office area and the HVAC system and Fire Alarm system shall be fully functional. There are two simulator bays, East and West. Both simulator bays are secure areas and require escorts for access. East-bay is a SAP facility. Any new or modified penetrations made during construction into East-bay must involve CVN during planning, Mr. Mark Alexander 623-856-2916. Contractor work hours in the Simulators are defined as Monday - Friday, 1730 - 0700 or weekends. Normal work hours can be used for all work that does not disrupt training in the simulators. Both simulator bays must remain operational during the normal duty hours of Monday - Friday, 0700 - 1730. If work needs to be done outside of these hours, contractor will need to schedule two weeks in advance with Facility Manager.
