Question Cuttoff Date & Time 8/17/2022 02:00:00 PM (ET) Overview: The Rockwell City Maintenance Garage and Brine building need the glycol system flushed, cleaned, and new 50% glycol provided and installed so the existing boilers can produce heat properly. Vendor to provide and install all materials and labor needed. Once flushed, vendor to clean out and prep all lines, filters, etc. prior to installing new glycol. Vendor to properly dispose of all waste and debris according to local codes and environmental requirements. Base of design for Glycol: Dowfrost HD 50% (suited for applications exposed to temperatures between -28F and 325F (-33C and 162C)). System to be tested to confirm working ability once all work is completed and weather allows. Local garage staff to be notified of continuous maintenance requirements. Original as-built plans, heating specification, and in-floor heat submittal attached for reference. All existing conditions to be field verified. Contractor to provide training on operation and maintenance requirements. Contractor to be a licensed Plumber in Iowa. This project is exempt from state sales tax. Davis-Bacon wages do not apply Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. All questions related to this project are to be submitted through the IONwave Bid system through the cut off period for question submissions. The Iowa DOT is exempt from sales tax.
