Project Name: Hunt Hwy/Gantzel Rd Safety Improvements Project (TRACS) Number: T0352 03D District: Southcentral Route/MP: Hunt Highway (Gary Rd to Bella Vista Rd) & Gantzel Road (Ocotillo Rd to Combs Rd) Funding Source: HSIP Construction Funding FY: FY 2024 This project is for the design of safety improvements to offset left turn crashes at several intersections within Pinal County. This includes signal and median improvements on Hunt Highway from Gary Road to Bella Vista Road and on Gantzel Road from Ocotillo to Combs. The design consultant shall lead the project development process. Stage submittals shall consist of Stage III, Stage IV and Final PS&E. The HSIP application will serve as the scoping document. The scope of work should include field surveys to be performed as needed, necessary utility investigations for utility clearance, right of way determinations and right of way clearance, and environmental clearance tasks. The consultant shall provide a bid package which includes plans, specifications and estimates for construction. The design consultant shall also provide necessary project management tasks including coordination, meetings, project schedule updates and comment responses. Document retention, project schedule, and risk register updates within the Workfront platform will be required. The scope of work on Hunt Highway will include: Flashing yellow arrow signals at Gary Road Flashing yellow arrow signals at Walmart East Driveway Flashing yellow arrow signals at Bella Vista Road Median modifications to improve negative offset left-turn lanes at Gary Road Median modifications to improve negative offset left-turn lanes at Walmart East and West Driveways The scope of work on Gantzel Road will include: Flashing yellow arrow signals at Ocotillo Road Flashing yellow arrow signals at Combs Road Median modifications to improve negative offset left-turn lanes at Ocotillo Road (all 4 approaches) Median modifications to improve negative offset left-turn lanes at Combs Road (both west and east approach) Installation of a sidewalk on the west side from Chandler Heights Road to 250 feet south of Via De Arboles Installation of a raised median on Combs Road from Gantzel Road to 250 feet west of Gantzel Road. There will be no Pre-Submittal Meeting associated with this solicitation. As the project progresses, it is anticipated that an additional scope task that may be requested on this project will be Monument Existing Right of Way Questions, in writing, shall be received by ECS at the below email address until August 10th, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. (Arizona Time). No further questions shall be accepted after the time specified. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
