Site work and new construction of a warehouse / distribution facility in Levering, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a warehouse / distribution facility; and for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility.

The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians (LTBB) operates a Fisheries Enhancement Facility (FEF), located in Levering Michigan. The LTBB FEF is located at 4100 Giigoohns Miikaan Ave, Levering MI 49755 (Emmet County). The site is an 80-acre lot with Van Creek running directly through the middle (east/west). The primary aquaculture building is located in the south west portion of the property. The facility has three primary focuses: Research, Restoration, and Education. The research projects target fisheries management problems, to gain a better understanding of how to protect and restore native fish populations. As part of the many restoration projects, the LTBB FEF raises and stocks out Lake Sturgeon, Lake Whitefish, Walleye, and Cisco. The education efforts include outreach events and the Nmé Program. The Nmé Program, brings Lake Sturgeon in local schools and provides a curriculum for a place-based learning experience. In operating the facility, LTBB staff use large equipment to accomplish aquaculture and maintenance tasks. Large equipment would include the 400-gallon stocking tank, 1,845-gallon stocking trailer, 20ft boat and trailer for egg collections, the tractor, tractor implements such as snow blower, lawn mower, etc. When the LTBB FEF was first constructed, there was no equipment to store and thus the need for equipment storage was lacking. After 10 years, the LTBB FEF needs to protect its aquaculture assets. This project is to construct a barn for the storage of aquaculture, maintenance, and commercial fishing equipment. The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians (LTBB), a federally Recognized Indian Tribe, invites your firm to submit a Statement of Qualifications to become eligible for a possible interview for design and build storage building. Provisions governing this Statement of Qualifications and Proposal. For submittal questions contact Mandy Szocinski by email at mszocinski@ltbbodawa-nsn.gov. For project specific questions, please contact Kris Dey by email at KDey@ltbbodawa-nsn.gov.
