The project consists of renovation of the elevators at Marshall Manor, Mulligan Manor & Belle Vernon Apartments, including the following: but not limited to: o NON-PROPRIETARY duplex controllers, hoist machines and motors, (Closed loop variable frequency AC drive) o New door operators, hoist way door equipment including rollers, door tracks, interlocks, related door equipment, hoist way door panels, stainless steel car doors, Infrared door safety curtain, o Hoist way and control room wiring including traveling cables, hoist and governor ropes, speed governor, car and counterweight roller guides, and possibly pit buffer assemblies, o New car and hall fixtures including digital position indicators inside the car and at the main lobby landing, car traveling/arrival lantern. Location: Marshall Manor, Mulligan Manor, & Belle Vernon Apartments Bids will be received for General Construction-Elevator, Electrical Construction, Mechanical Construction Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or bank cashier s check payable to the Fayette County Housing Authority in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or age. In addition, the Contract will be under the requirements of Executive Order #11625 relative to new goals and timetables and Section III of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 and where applicable. The Fayette County Housing Authority solicits and encourages Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation. MBE s will be afforded full consideration of their responses and will not be subjected to discrimination. Bidders will be required to comply with the Authority s MBE Program Goal requirements where applicable. The Fayette County Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in bidding.
