Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming is seeking bids from qualified asbestos abatement contractors for their asbestos abatement project at the DeWitt Student Center Building. The work will include, but is not limited to, the removal and proper disposal of the following asbestos-containing materials: floor tile and mastic, floor tile and mastic under carpet, residual mastic under carpet, 3" vinyl cove base and mastic, acoustical ceiling plaster/texture, white woven HVAC collars, and mudded pipe fitting insulation. Bids shall be submitted on forms provided with the Contract Documents. A Bid Bond of 10% of the project price will be required. Bids will be accepted for ONE GENERAL CONTRACT. The contract shall be let to the responsible certified resident making the lowest bid if the certified resident's bid is not more than five percent (5%) higher than that of the lowest responsible nonresident bidder. If a nonresident contractor is selected, they must follow Wyoming regulations regarding preference for Wyoming laborers. The Contractor shall comply with all fair labor practices and Wyoming statutes. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for thirty (30) days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids, except as noted in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in any bid received.
