Renovation of a municipal facility in Polk Township, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the renovation of a 5,100-square-foot municipal facility.

As of October 19, 2022. Project is cancelled. The project will be revisited in the Spring. Removal of approximately 5,100 square feet of an existing shingle and partial metal roof, and replacement with a galvanized, painted metal panel roof system. Bidders are hereby notified that this project is subject to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township The proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bid bond in the amount of ten (10) percent of the bid, made payable to Polk Township. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the awarded contract price, within twenty (20) days after the contract has been awarded. All work must be completed by October 31, 2022; liquidated damages will be assessed at $200 for each calendar day thereafter that the work remains uncompleted. Bids may be modified or withdrawn prior to the opening of bids, but shall remain valid for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date of the Bid Opening, and no bidder may withdraw his bid within that period without forfeiting his bid security. Polk Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any technicalities as deemed best in the interest of the Township.
