Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Town of Big Stone Gap (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Big Cherry Straight Fork Ridge Trail Interconnect The Project includes the following Work: Includes the base bid construction of a 5,297 Linear Feet (L.F.) multi-use trail, including location signs, mile marker signs, sitting benches, bear-proof trash receptacles and associated appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract for each individual Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. Partial funding for the project is being provided by the Recreational Trails Program of the Federal Highway Administration administered in Virginia by DCR and must be undertaken in accordance with the Recreational Trails Program guidance of the FHWA and the with 2, 23 and 49 CFR. Obtaining the Bidding Documents Prospective Bidders may also examine copies of the Bidding Documents provided by the Issuing Office at the locations identified below. Bidders must comply with the following: The Presidents Executive Order # 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. Iron and steel components for the project must comply with Buy America requirements (23 USC 313 and 23 CFR 635.410). Contractors have the option to purchase an electronic set of bidding documents (Adobe PDF Format) for a $50 non-refundable fee. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to The Lane Group, Inc. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Instructions to Bidders.
