Richland School District Two is seeking bids from qualified companies to build/construct two (2) new walkway canopies/awnings at Westwood High School. To construct and install new standing seam aluminum awnings A. Awnings must be 10' x 80' (1) and 10' x 70' (1) aluminum freestanding canopies. B. Aluminum welding will be in accordance with ANSI / AWS D1.2/D1.2M: 2008. Welding must be performed solely with Pulsed Gas Metal Arc Welding (Pulse-MIG) processes or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) processes by experienced operators C. All exposed surfaces must be free of sharp orjagged edges. D. Decking options must consist of aluminum Roll Formed W-Pan, Extruded Flat Pan, or Roll Formed Flat Plan. E. All anchors, lag bolts and Tek screws must be of galvanized steel. F. Silicone sealant must be applied to joints for a watertight seal. G. Awnings must be powder coated in white (to match school). H. Awnings must be designed in accordance with the International Building Code's snow and wind requirements. I. All footplates should be fastened securely to a 6" thick concrete slab or 16" minimum diameter footings in order to achieve full structural integrity. Footing depth must be 36" minimum J. Canopy posts will be anchored to existing concrete walkway K. Contractor shall provide all material, items, equipment, labor, supervision, expertise, etc. required for the successful completion of this solicitation and/or contract. A Bid Bond is a requirement of the bid submittals. The Bid security shall be 5% of the total bid price provided.
