In accordance with R.S. 38:2212(8)(1), the provisions and requirements stated in the bidding documents shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount, written by a surety or insurance company meeting the requirements noted in R.S. 38:2219.A.( l )(a), (b) and (c). Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, provided on the specified form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570. The project consists of (but is not limited to) the following scope of work: 1. Enhancing the indoor air quality for the school by means of upgrading the ventilation, cleaning evaporator coils and increasing filtration capabilities. 2. Increase filter efficiencies. 3. Add motorized dampers to existing units in the Gym and Admin. Buildings. 4. Add bipolar ionization to the existing air handling units, gas furnace units, DOAS units and rooftop A/C units throughout the school campus. 5. Desigo Migration Scope of Work: a. Ensure that all Area Level Controllers (PXC controllers) have the most up to date firmware revisions. Area Level Controllers that are obsolete and can no longer accept firmware revisions will be replaced (Fast Forwarded) with their up-to-date hardware counterpart (Apogee PXC Controller). Graphics will be transferred from the existing Apogee Insight system to the new Apogee Desigo System. Trends and Scheduled data will transferred over to the new Apogee Desigo System from the original system. The New Apogee Desigo Front End will be added to a Windows 10 Computer and will reside the Rapides Parish School Board Maintenance office. 6. Building Management System upgrade general scope of work: a. Add firmware updates to all Siemens Apogee PXC Panels. Replace any obsolete panels that can no longer receive firmware updates. These will be replaced with Apogee PXC Panels. New Apogee Panel will be added and installed in Building B. Through this new panel, Integrate to the Existing DOAS Units in building B and integrate to the new BACNet thermostats that will be provided and installed by the control's contractor. All split systems will have BACNet thermostats provided and installed by controls contractor. BACNet Thermostats will allow for temperature sensing, humidity sensing, and start/stop control over the split systems. Humidity Sensors will be added in each building and will be connected to the nearest Area Level Controller. Conduit that is run above ground will be covered by the controls contractor. Any trenching and underground conduit will be covered by the Contractor.
