The proposed work for the CITY HALL WATERMAIN project consists of the construction of 240 LF of 8" DIP water main, along with rock excavation, restoration and other related work in accordance with the Contract Documents in Batavia, Illinois, for the CITY HALL WATERMAIN. All pertinent documents may be viewed at the office of the Engineer, Rempe Sharpe & Associates, Inc., 324 West State Street, Geneva, Illinois. All BIDS shall be submitted on the forms provided, and shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid, and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Batavia reserves the right to reject any and or all Bids, to waive any irregularities and informalities. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible Bidder as determined by the City of Batavia. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the Project shall apply to the contract throughout including the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Sects 39s-1-12) and the Illinois Preference Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Sects. 2201- 2207).
