Site work and paving for a road / highway in Jackson, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Scope of Work: VINE HILL ROAD Vine Hill Road is a two-lane County Road approximately 4 miles long, located in southwest Madison County. Vine Hill Road connects U.S. Hwy 70 to S.R. 223. The scope of this project encompasses the full depth reclamation with cement (FDR) of 3000 l.f. of Vine Hill Road, beginning at the southern edge of pavement of U.S. Hwy 70, and extending south. The width of the road, within the scope of this project, averages 21 feet. The existing road surface is chip seal, with a varying thickness. A Geotechnical Report prepared by Construction Materials Laboratory, Inc. on July 12, 2021, is included in this bid package, which contains the FDR mix design. The final completed FDR surface on Vine Hill road shall be left 4" lower than the existing grade, to allow for the installation of a DBST (County installed) and 4" of hot mix asphalt (under separate contract). Additionally, in areas where existing asphalt thicknesses on Vine Hill Road are 6" or thicker AFTER the road has been milled down 4", the FDR shall be mixed 12" thick, at a cement mix rate of 51.6 lbs/yd2. Also included in this bid package is the TDOT Special Provision Regarding Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) of Flexible Pavement specification (SP304FDR), which outlines the process to reclaim the existing flexible pavement. Some exceptions and modifications to the SP304FDR are noted and listed below. DOAK MASON ROAD Doak Mason Road is a two-lane County Road approximately 2.2 miles long, located in northeast Madison County. Doak Mason Road connects Waynick Road (on the south end) to U.S. Hwy 70 (on the north end). The scope of this project encompasses the full depth reclamation with cement (FDR) of approximately 2400 l.f. of Doak Mason Road, beginning at the northern edge of pavement of Waynick Road, and extending north. This project will terminate at the north side of the driveway at address 404 Doak Mason Road. The width of the road, within the scope of this project, averages 21 feet. The existing road surface is chip seal, with a varying thickness. It will be the responsibility of the awarded contractor to supply an FDR mix design for the Doak Mason Road work. The bid for Doak Mason Road assumes a mix rate of 50 lbs/yd2 of cement. The actual mix rate will be determined by the FDR mix design provided by the contractor and approved by the Madison County Highway Superintendent. Included in this bid package is the TDOT Special Provision Regarding Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) of Flexible Pavement specification (SP304FDR), which outlines the process to reclaim the existing flexible pavement. Some exceptions and modifications to the SP304FDR are noted and listed below.
