Site work for a water / sewer project in Huntley, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
There is a 600 LF length of 6" sanitary sewer on Huntley Dundee Road that serves multiple commercial properties and has frequent back-up issues. 6" pipe is the minimum size of a sewer service lateral for a single property whereas 8" is the minimum size of a public sewer main serving multiple properties. The pipe needs to be up-sized to 8" since it serves multiple buildings. The current pipe also has back-pitch in sections that also needs to be corrected with the new pipe to improve hydraulics. This project is included in the Village of Huntley's FY 2025 - FY 2029 CIP. As of March 6, 2025, per owner, this project is in the Village 5-year CIP with no specific timeline for design or construction. It is not budgeted in FY25 *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
