Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Canaveral As, Florida. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.

Work to be performed under this project consists of providing all material, labor, equipment, and management necessary to: construct ADA ramps at both the entrance and loading dock into the facility. Construct ADA compliant restrooms, as well a kitchen area to include hook-ups for a stove, refrigerator/ice maker, sink with garbage disposal and dishwasher. Construct a laundry area to include hook-ups for a washer, dryer and ice machine. The interior of the building will be re-constructed to include three offices, each containing at least one Dutch door and a large break room area to house 30 people. The facility will be provided with a new ceiling, flooring and furnished walls, all to be primed and painted. The facility will also be provided with new lighting, outlets, and switches, as well as some panels that are to be demolished. The building does require asbestos abatement within the floor tiles and the carpet on some of the block walls. Removal of material implies hauling and properly discarding off the installation. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: a. Asbestos abatement in existing floor tile, dry wall mud, carpet, and block walls b. Install ADA ramps with railings at Entrance and Loading Dock Area i. Remove sidewalks and fencing in current locations for installing the ADA ramps ii. All concrete testing required c. Remove gondola shelving on northwest wall of building d. Remove existing walls to create offices, restrooms, kitchen, and laundry e. Build up exiting wall to allow for plumbing behind restrooms f. Enclose electrical main disconnect and main distribution panel with electrical cabinet with doors, labeled "Electrical" on the outside i. Remove non-utilized electrical panels/disconnects/junction boxes g. Relocate blue comm box from south wall to east wall i. Remove non-utilized comm boxes/panels ii. All work that is performed on comm equipment needs to be coordinated with the 45th Communications Squadron and follow in accordance with BICSI standard, SWI 17-213, and ANSI-TIA 607B h. Construct metal stud framing structure and gypsum board wall over all interior walls to create finished walls and encase all panel conduit and new utilities i. Construct new office walls and 3 doors i. Install 3 Dutch doors (additional to the 3 entrance doors into the offices) j. Remove existing restrooms/fixtures/partitions i.Install 1 urinal in men's restroom k. Construct ADA compliant restroom i. Install specified tile flooring or equivalent ii. Install partitions and specified fixtures iii. Install cabinet under sink in general area of restroom l. Construct kitchen area i. Install countertop to include kitchen sink with cabinets underneath ii. Install hook up for refrigerator (water and electric), stove, and dishwasher (refrigerator, stove and dishwasher are user provided) iii. Install garbage disposal with the kitchen sink m. Install washer/dryer hookup and ice machine hook up in laundry area (washer, dryer and ice machine are user provided) n. Install vinyl baseboard throughout offices, break room, restrooms, kitchen, and wash area o. Remove and replace tile flooring in bathrooms, kitchen area, and wash area with ceramic tile i. Daltile Saddle Brook XT brand or equivalent p. Remove and replace all carpet in office, break area and storage area i. Milliken brand or equivalent q. Paint all interior walls (1 coat/Primer and 2 coats/Paint) i. Remove carpet from walls r. Remove and replace interior and exterior lighting, outlets, and switches i. New Interior lights are to be lay-in LED lights ii. Exterior lights are to be compliant with Florida Environmental policy for turtles s. Remove and replace all acoustical ceiling tiles and grid throughout facility. t. Install comm drops in offices (3) for network access and phone line i. All work that is performed for comm installation needs to be coordinated with the 45th Communications Squadron and follow in accordance with BICSI standard, SWI 17-213, and ANSI-TIA 607B u. Remove and replace electrical main panel in exterior mechanical room v. Remove and replace smoke/heat detectors w. Remove and replace HVAC components (supply/returns/flex duct leading to supply) i. All HVAC duct work is to be cleaned out ii. Remove and replace exhaust fans (2) on exterior of building iii. Remove and replace HVAC condenser DX 5 ton 3 phase iv. All HVAC components "Trane" or Carrier" brand or equivalent x. Remove and replace base standard exterior key box y. Install new pipe and valve and connect to main water line along west side of facility
