The Sunshine Gardens neighborhood is one of two neighborhoods in South San Francisco that are severely underparked, per the City's General Plan and Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The City is seeking funding to transform a property pending acquisition into a vibrant neighborhood park and cultural plaza for our community to enjoy. $2.5M is for acquisition of the property. $3.0M is for development of the property into parkland. Project is included in the City of South San Francisco's FY 2023-2027 CIP. As of September 1, 2022, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Construction is anticipated in 2024.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
