The Work consists of the new construction of approximately five hundred twenty-three linear feet (523 lf) of closed section bituminous concrete roadway with Portland cement concrete curb/gutter, sidewalk and stormdrain over graded aggregate base and compacted subgrade. Additionally, the Work includes the installation of Filterra bioretention systems, street trees and peripheral demolition, drive entrance and site grading improvements. The Work is fully described and detailed in the contract documents. Refer to the Bid Documents for a complete description of work. The site is located on undeveloped right-of-way adjacent to 110 Vincit Street, Centreville, MD 21617. Bid Security is required to be submitted with the bid in accordance with the General Conditions. Completed Conflict of Interest Disclosure & Employment of Aliens Statement is required to be submitted with the bid. Failure to submit these with the bid shall deem the bid non-responsive. Bidders are directed to the provisions of the Instructions to Bidders for additional information governing the bidding process. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bids are to remain open for 60 days. The Work shall be Substantially Completed not later than 150 calendar days ; The CONTRACTOR shall attain Final Completion within 15 calendar days of the issuance of Substantial Completion.
