Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
As of September 13th, 2022, project was awarded to Catworks Construction of Vancouver, WA with a bid of $768,426.05. The Northwest 35th Circle Extension Project extends the public roadway approximately 550 LF in the Port of Vancouver Centennial Industrial Park to facilitate a new structure and eliminates an existing cul-de-sac. Full-width street improvements include, but are not limited to, roadway extension, sidewalk and curb ramps, water systems, sewer systems, storm drainage systems, commercial driveways and street lighting. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at the construction site, 3333 NW 35th Circle, Vancouver, WA 98660. The cost estimate for the project is $802,300 - $886,750. Questions must be submitted electronically no later than Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 12:00 PM Do not send bids by FAX or email. Bids submitted via FAX or email will not be accepted. The Port of Vancouver in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. The Port of Vancouver is committed to providing equal opportunities to State of Washington certified Minority, Disadvantaged and Womens Business Enterprises in contracting activities. (Section 4 of Chapter 56, Laws of 1975, 1st Ex. Sess., State of Washington). All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cashiers check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Port of Vancouver. The Port of Vancouver reserves the right to cancel this invitation or reject any and all bids submitted or to waive any minor formalities of this call if, in the judgment of the Port Commissioners, the best interests of the Port would be served. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, unless the award of contract is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) days. If it is determined to be in the best interests of the Port, the Port reserves the right to request an extension of bid prices during the review process
