State Project Number LS0019996 REBID Soil Excavation at Former Pine City Mill Bulk Site This project is Targeted Group/Economically Disadvantaged/Veteran-Owned (TG/ED/VO) certified small business preference. A. The work will done under one prime contract that includes: General, Electrical, and Mechanical construction. B. The following summary is a general guide to the scope of work. It should not be construed as a detailed list of work included in the contract. 1.) The project requires an experienced contractor to oversee well sealing and to complete excavation of contaminated soil at the former Pine City Mill Bulk Site (LS0019996). 2.) Excavation, removal, and off-site disposal of contaminated soil from the Site. The defined area of petroleum contaminated soil will be to depths of 4 feet or 10 feet below existing grades as defined by Figure 2. This area includes an unknown buried concrete remanent. The estimated in-place volume of contaminated soil and concrete debris to be excavated, transported, and disposed of is 620 cubic yards (CY) or approximately 900 tons (based on 1.45 conversion). 3.) The excavation area will be backfilled with imported clean granular soil, mechanically compacted in one-foot lifts. Est.
