220711073-PLM jobs where estimated cost or accepted bids are $75,000. following project: Demolition of the 215 West Major Abandoned Water Tower - It is assumed the water tower includes lead paint. Contractor to adhere to state requirements for demolition, removal and recycling: l Demolish and remove water tower down to the foundations; l Contractor to provide City with the 1906 build plate; l Asbestos inspection report and removal certification are attached; l Contractor to submit, and provide a copy of, a State of MO Demolition Notification; l Contractor to use a cutting torch, or other method that will effectively control and collect lead dust emissions and/or water with dust particles, per State requirements; l Scrap metal to be reclaimed and recycled, taken to a legitimate recycler, with documentation provided to the City; l Haul off debris and site clean up; l All salvage, except as otherwise noted, belongs to the Contractor; l Contractor shall be held responsible for any damage to any pipes, conduits, trees, sidewalks, pavement, structures, utility interruptions, etc., resulting from careless or uncontrolled demolition activities. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein. The City will affirmatively ensure that in any Contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement; minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids without discrimination, regardless of race, color, or national origin, in consideration for any award.
