All contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Questions due to dmleonard@mchenrycountyil.gov no later than August 17, 2022 12:00 p.m.(CST). Submit via email. The County of McHenry is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide and install Scour Detection Systems to monitor the scour and water level at 5 (five) bridge structures that required Scour Plans of Action. BACKGROUND The McHenry County is pursuing to install Scour Detection Systems on 5 bridges included in our inspection inventory that require Scour Plans of Action. These systems must measure changes in the water level, which can indicate a flood event. They must also scan the streambed to detect a loss of sediment, which may undermine a bridge pier or abutment. Both measurements can be integrated together into a scour monitoring program since the County is required by IDOT to close out inspection/monitoring events such as these. SCOPE OF SERVICE The Scour Detection System must be installed on the following five (5) bridges from our inspection network: o Riley Township Harmony Road over Coon Creek (County Bridge) Anthony Rd over Coon Creek (Township Bridge) Grange Rd over Coon Creek (Township Bridge) o Hebron Township O'Brien Road over Nippersink Creek (Township Bridge) o Chemung Township Stateline Road Bridge over Piscasaw Creek (Township Bridge)
