Argonne Road Improvements Add mixed treatments of centerline rumble strips, flexible guideposts, & guardrail reflectors to the following roadways: Argonne Rd from MPI.35- 5.04. Bruce Rd MP0.00-2.20, Moffatt Rd MPI.5-3.83, Forker Rd MP3.50-6.94. and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The following is applicable to Federal-aid projects. The County of Spokane, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252,42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award BID DEPOSIT REQUIRED. No bid may be considered for public work unless it is accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a surety bond, postal money order, case, cashier's check or certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposed. If the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fails to enter into the contract and furnish the contractor's bond as required within ten delays after notice of the award, exclusive of the day of notice, the amount of the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the County and the contract awarded to the next lowest and best bidder If the bid deposit is in the form of a surety bond it must be of a corporate surety licensed to do business m the State of Washington accompanied by a completed Bid Deposit Surety Bond Form (see Appendix). The successful bidder will be required to file a performance bond in the full amount of the contract price which bond shall be furnished by a Surety Company acceptable to the Board of County Commissioners Commissioners.
