Demolition, site work and new construction of a library in Thonotosassa, Florida. Working plans call for the demolition of a library; for the construction of a library; and for site work for a library.
Land acquisition, project development, design and construction of an 15,000 square foot library expandable to 25,000 square feet, to replace the existing Thonotosassa Library at a new approximately 36-acre property located on the South side of Main Street, approximately 1/2-mile East of Harney Rd. The new location has been acquired and will incorporate expansion of Thonotosassa Park to provide expanded cultural, educational and recreational opportunities for the community As of November 24, 2025, construction documents are finished. The project will bid out openly to general contractors, but a bidding timeline has not been disclosed. Construction is expected to begin in June of 2026 and be completed in the fourth quarter of 2027.
