Renovation of a municipal facility in Washington, District of Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 36,000-square-foot municipal facility.

Administration (HRA) and Office of Operations, Security, and Preparedness (OSP) on the 2nd floor at the Veterans Affairs Central Office (VACO) building. The total area renovated is estimated to be about 36,000 SF. The VA is consolidating lease and Federal spaces and plans to renovate the 2nd floor in order to optimize its use. See Section 2.1 for detailed project requirements. The project is not a change in use of space. The project is a change in occupancy. Existing occupancy is 224. The renovation will allow a hybrid work model with a seating ratio of 2:1, utilizing hot-desking or multiple people to a desk. Pages 2 through 4 of Attachment 2 - COVID 19 Response 810 Vermont-L02_Move Plans_220309 show seating at 114 with substantial increases in support spaces; i.e., conference rooms, telephone rooms, teaming spaces, etc. This contract is a firm fixed-price contract. The services required shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following: Professional Architect/Engineer Services Contract Management Construction Services including Materials, Labor, and Supervision Professional Inspection and Testing Services *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
