Construction Services for Cat Pole Foundations and Steel Erection Amtrak is seeking a Contractor with extensive knowledge, experience, competent personnel, proven expertise in pile cap erection and drilled shaft foundations, and suitable equipment for the typical coastal Connecticut subgrade. This work includes excavation, backfilling, disposal of encountered obstructions, ability to support lifting operations, formwork erection, concrete pour, survey, steel fabrication, and erection of catenary poles and large catenary system components. This project will include installation of approx. ten (10) foundations, six (6) catenary structures, and various large steel cantilevers and components. Contracted work also includes confirming final orientation of anchor bolts, providing final survey of finished foundation, and necessary quality control measures for concrete, rebar, and other miscellaneous materials as indicated in the project specifications. Pre-qualified General Contractors will be allowed to submit a proposal for the furtherance of the project's improvements. Amtrak intends to accept Letters of Interest (LOI) for an upcoming solicitation which is funded by the Federal Railroad Administration via a Grant with the National Rail Passenger Corporation (Amtrak).
