Renovation of a mixed-use development in Statesboro, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a three-story above grade municipal facility.
The City of Statesboro is soliciting bids from experienced and qualified General Contractors who are interested in submitting a proposal and entering into a contract for the renovations. The Joe Brannen Hall consists of renovating approximately 5,600 SF of general office space. This renovation includes offices, restrooms, reworking a sprinkler system and minor roof repairs and City Hall consists of light renovations of approximately 2,650 SF of the three story city hall building which includes: relocating and patching walls, adding doors for security, replacing plumbing fixtures, miscellaneous painting, flooring and ceiling tile replacement. Contractors are expected to coordinate their work schedule with the project manager to minimize impacts to active offices. A 5% bid bond will be required upon submittal of sealed bids. A payment and performance bond shall be required upon contract award. It is the intent of the City of Statesboro to encourage participation by minority and female owned business enterprises (MFBE) for all procurement processes. The construction phase of this project shall include a minimum 20% minority or female business enterprise participation of total construction cost. All submittals for this ITB must include a statement acknowledging compliance with 20% MFBE requirement at time for submittal of sealed bids. Upon submittal of sealed bids pre-qualified contractors will be required to provide proof of MFBE certification if general/prime contractor is a certified MFBE or provide list of MFBE sub-contractors, identify % of participation by each sub-contractor and proof of minority or female owned business certification for proof of compliance with this section requirement. All questions should be forwarded to Darren Prather via email at darren.prather@statesboroga.gov or by telephone at (912) 764-0642.
