Renovation of a mixed-use development in Los Angeles, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 2,500-square-foot medical facility; and educational facility.

Per the owner, as of April 4, 2024, they are still in the pre-design and funding phase. Information regarding an award has not been disclosed by the owner. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ............ UCLA requests a written response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to select an Executive Architect for the proposed 200 Medical Plaza B1 level C-Arm installation and expansion (UCLA Project 907522). UCLA Health proposes to select an architect to plan a renovation of approximately 2,500 SF in the Peter Morton Medical Building located at 200 Medical Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095. Renovations include installing a new C-Arm, remodeling required support spaces, and expanding the nursing support area to accommodate new patient volume for prep/recovery. Responses to this RFQ should demonstrate familiarity and experience in the design, planning, and construction related to the installation of a new C-Arm and in medical office renovation/reconfiguration, including Department of Public Health requirements (Title 22) and HCAI for an OSHPD 3 Licensed Clinic. The specific personnel proposed for assignment to this project must demonstrate experience in these areas. Mechanical and Electrical analysis of the existing building infrastructure shall be included in the pre-design study phase to ensure the projected design loads can be supported. The project is subject to review and approval by the UC Board of Regents or their delegated authority. This RFQ is for full design services comprising architectural basic services, including schematic design, design development, interiors package, construction documents, cost estimate, LEED, assistance during bid/award phase, construction administration, record documents, and project closeout for C-Arm Installation and space reconfiguration project. The University reserves the right to defer negotiations concerning services other than pre-design studies until the completion of the pre-design phase. The design shall comply with the University of California Policy on Sustainable Practices to achieve a minimum LEED Healthcare Silver Rating. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Candidate Firm may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The construction cost for the project has not yet been determined and is dependent upon phasing. The work may be executed in several incremental projects. It is anticipated to be in the range of $2 to $4 million, depending on the agreed-upon scope of work. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
