Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Allendale, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
**As of September 15, 2022, project was awarded to D.S Meyer Enterprises, LCC., awarded amount is $149,180.39.** is hereby given that the Borough of Allendale (Borough) will receive sealed Bids for the Project known as "PAVING PROGRAM (2022)" Sealed Bids will be received at the offices of the Borough, located at the Borough of Allendale Municipal Building, 500 West Crescent Avenue, Allendale New Jersey 07401. Bids which have been received will be opened following C DC guidelines. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and means to construct various improvements as depicted in the Contract Documents for the Project. The principal Items of Work, include but are not limited to: Breakaway Barricade 2 Units Drum 20 Units Traffic Cone 25 Units Construction Signs 50 SF Traffic Director, Flagger 64 Hours HMA Milling, 3" or Less 7,330 SY HMA 9.5M64 Surface Course 950 Tons HMA 19M64 Base Course, If and Where Directed 45 Tons Reset Existing Casting, If and Where Directed 10 Units Reconstructed Inlet, Using Existing Casting, Depth 2 ft Increments 7 Units Bicycle Safe Grate 15 Units Curb Piece 3 Units Cleaning Drainage Structure, If and Where Directed 10 Units Traffic Marking Lines, 4" 150 LF Traffic Marking Lines, 24" 25 LF Contract Documents, prepared by Van Cleef Engineering Associates LLC and approved by the Borough, may be examined and obtained at the Borough of Allendale Municipal Building by appointment only with the Borough Clerk by calling 201-818-4400 or emailing LindaCervino@Allendalenj.gov. A non-refundable payment in the amount of $25.00, made payable to Borough of Allendale, will be required for each set of Contract Documents requested by prospective Bidders or any other party. Contract Documents will be mailed on request, at the expense of the prospective Bidder. Bids shall be submitted to the Borough in the bound Contract Document Book, which shall be left whole and intact in every respect. Bids shall be enclosed in an opaque, sealed envelope, plainly marked "PAVING PROGRAM (2022)" and shall show the name and address of the Bidder. Bids may be forwarded by certified mail. If mailed, the sealed envelope containing the Bid and marked as above, must be enclosed in another envelope properly addressed for mailing as follows: Linda Cervino, RMC Municipal Clerk Borough of Allendale 500 West Crescent Avenue Allendale, New Jersey 07401 The delivery or non-delivery of the Contract Documents or Bid is the sole responsibility of the Bidder. The Borough will not be responsible for late postal delivery or late delivery of courier service and no Bids will be accepted after the time stipulated and set forth above. Bidders are required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11 et seq.) and the requirements of the Public Works Contractors Registration Act. All Bids must be accompanied by: Bid Guarantee in the form of a certified check or cashier's check or bid bond for not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid amount, provided said check or bond need not be more than $20,000.00; Certificate from a Surety Company guaranteeing that the successful Bidder will furnish performance and payment (labor and materials) bonds, each in a sum not less than 100% of the total price for the complete bid if awarded, with an approved surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Borough; Statement of Corporate Ownership, setting forth the names and addresses of all stockholders in the corporation who own ten percent (10%) or more of the stock in any class, or of the individual partners in the partnership who own ten percent (10%) or greater interest therein; Listing of Subcontractors; Notarized Non-Collusion Affidavit; Notarized Bidder's Affidavit; Acknowledgment of Receipt of Changes to Bid Documents Form; and Bid Document Submission Checklist. The Standard Bid Forms, Non-Collusion Affidavit and Disclosure Statement are included with the specifications. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and Chapter 127 of P.L. 1975 (N.J.A.C. 17:27) and any amendments thereto, regarding equal employment opportunity and affirmative action. All Bidders are notified that the Contract will include the mandatory equal employment opportunity language. The successful Bidder will be required to submit an Initial Project Manning Report (Form AA-201) within three (3) days of the Notice of Award of the construction Contract. If the successful Bidder fails to submit said report, the Borough may declare the Contractor non-responsive and award the Contract to the next lowest responsible Bidder. This Contract is subject to all of the Department of Labor Safety and Health Regulation and to the applicable provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. All Bidders are notified that the Contract will include payment of prevailing wage rates established by the Department of Labor of the State of New Jersey. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening of Bids. The Borough reserves the right to waive minor defects and informalities in any Bid and to reject any and all Bids, or to accept Bids that are, in the opinion of the Borough, in the best interest of the Borough. The Borough reserves the right to reject any Bids which exceed the available financial appropriation for this Project. Make site visit with RE at least 5 days before beginning the work.
