Budget is $500K-$1M Project: CITY OF WESTWEGO WHARF PHASE 2 ROADWAY CROSSING #1 VAN NESS DRIVE WESTWEGO, LA 70094 The Base Bid work provides for the construction of an earthen roadway crossing over water including the construction of fill, drainage pipe, rip rap, crushed stone surfacing and fencing. All bids must be in accordance with the contract documents on file with the City of Westwego, 1100 Fourth Street (City Hall), Westwego, Louisiana 70094. Late bids will not be accepted. Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond acceptable to the owner in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, including all alternates (if applicable), and payable without condition to the owner as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly execute a contract in accordance with his proposal and all terms and conditions of the contract documents. Deposit on the first set of documents furnished bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of documents in good condition no later than ten (10) days after the opening of bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract. Companies providing the bonds shall comply with the requirements of LRS-R.S. 38:2218 and R.S. 38:2219, as applicable. Per City of Westwego Resolution No. 2020-06(C), the City of Westwego will not accept any bonds from American Contractors Indemnity Company.
