Site work for a water / sewer project in Hagerstown, Maryland. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Periodic maintenance is required to preserve the stone walls that contain the Marsh Run aqueduct carrying the stream along Memorial Blvd. from Summit Avenue to the Hagerstown Field House site. The aqueduct was reconstructed in 1995, with additional repairs in 2013, 2017, and 2019. Regular rehabilitation is required approximately every five years. Periodic maintenance minimizes the potential for catastrophic failure of the walls. FY26: Continuation of rehabilitation from FY25 on Marsh Run Walls ($250,000). FY29: Regular rehabilitation of Marsh Run Walls every five years ($350,000). The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of April 28, 2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
