Site work and paving for a civil project in Kershaw, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is soliciting for the construction of a new turn lane off of US 601 South in Chesterfield County (Attachment B) per the specification herein. This project consist of the following: 1. Removing Existing Curb and Gutter 2. Installing New Curb and Gutter 3. Abandoning Existing Storm Drain by using Flowable Fill, Pipe Plugs, and Actual Removal 4. Installing New Storm Drain 5. Grading - Roadway Subgrade, Back Slope Behind New Curb and Gutter and General 6. Paving - Base, Binder, Surface as well as an Asphalt Flume 7. Milling 2 Foot Wide by 2 Inch Depth Swath of Existing Edge of US 601 Surface for Tie-In 8. Removal of Unclassified Material 9. Removing Existing Storm Drainage Drop Inlet 10. Convert Existing Catch Basin to a Traffic Bearing Junction Box with Manhole Access 11. Install New Catch Basin Type 16 12. Install Thermo Pavement Markings and Raised Pavement Markers 13.
