Site work for a water / sewer project in Chickasaw, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
No bids will be considered unless the bidder, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly licensed and qualified to submit a proposal for this construction in accordance with all applicable laws of the State of Alabama. This shall include evidence of holding a current license from the State Licensing City for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama, as required by Chapter 8 of Title 34, of the Code of Alabama, 1975. In addition, non-residents of the State, if a corporation, shall show evidence of having qualified with the Secretary of State to do business in the State of Alabama. Prior to the award of a competitively bid contract to a contractor having one or more employees in the State of Alabama, Alabama law requires that the contractor provide the City proof of enrollment in E-Verify (see Online) and to execute a certificate of compliance with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer And Citizen Protection Act (Act 2011-535), as amended by Act 2012-491. Regardless of employment in the State of Alabama, proof of enrollment in E-Verify shall be provided. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Utilities Board of the City of Chickasa.
