Demolition and site work for an educational facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The University of Utah, U -Facilities, is requesting proposals for the construction of the following project: School of Medicine Demolition The University is seeking a CMGC to plan for and manage the process of taking the SOM building offline, safely demolishing, and removing the debris. CMGC's scope includes securing the project site, terminating connections to existing utilities, rerouting existing utilities around the project site, protecting adjacent facilities and utilities during both abatement and demolition, managing the demolition process, and installing new facades over areas where SOM currently connects to adjacent buildings. Surrounding buildings will continue ongoing operations during the abatement and demolition process. The Contractor for the project must be a Utah-licensed General Contractor. Association with other individuals or contractors having appropriate professional expertise is acceptable. The University will enter into a single agreement with the successful Contractor. A Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the FLCC, made payable to the University of Utah shall accompany the cost proposal. Effective September 10, 2018, the University has retired the previous state-mandated Surety Bond Forms and is now requiring the use of the AIA Bid Bond Form A310-2010 and Performance and Payment Bond Form A312-2010. Upon Award of the Notice of Intent to the selected bidder (a letter to the Contractor issued by U Facilities) and the official Contract (Contractor's Agreement), the undersigned agrees to return the original signed Contract, and deliver acceptable Performance and Payment bonds in the prescribed form in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum for the faithful performance of the Contract, and deliver an acceptable Certificate of Insurance, all within ten (10) calendar days of the date on the Notice of Intent, unless a shorter time is specified in the Contract Documents. The University of Utah reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the University.
