Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. The Bid Bond shall be issued by a company authorized to do business in the State of Georgia. No other form of bid security will be accepted. The successful General Contractor shall furnish to the Owner both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Bidders shall not contact anyone with the Lowndes County Board of Commissioners or Second Harvest of South Georgia at any time during the bidding process.
