Site work for a mixed-use development in Delta, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Construction of an enclosed off-leash dog park as specified at Paterson Park, located at 5800 Clarence Taylor Crescent, Delta, B.C. The work generally consists of new fencing, surfacing, minor drainage installation and grass planting. The Scope of Work for this project shall include: 1.)Supply and install a stacked cedar split rail fence, chainlink maintenance gate and chainlink dual gate entry. 2.)Supply and install drainage lawn basins (and associated piping) and tie into existing catch basins. 3.)Supply and install compacted granular surfacing as per Layout Plan (Dwg L4A and L4B) 4.)Re-grade site for positive drainage by adding gradual swales and smoothing out holes in existing area, as per Grading Plan (Dwg L5) 5.)Supply and install new topsoil and lawn seed as per Layout Plan (Dwg L4A and L4B) 6.)Supply and install tree protection fencing as per Tree Protection Plan (dwg L3). Please ensure that all split rail fencing has minimum 3 meters clearance from all trees. 7.)Removal of fifteen (15) concrete "lock blocks" and metal cables that were installed several years ago to support five willow trees in the middle of the work area. The willow trees are fully established and no longer require support from the lock blocks and cables. a.The lock blocks each weigh approximately 4,200 lbs and have dimensions of 2.5' x 2.5' x 5' b.The lock blocks are buried at half depth in the ground, and are not "crown" (smooth top) blocks. c.Once removed, the lock blocks and cables are to be transported by the contractor to Delta's Park storage facility at 3653 River Road West, Delta, B.C. City of Delta cannot offer loading or off-loading support to the Contractor. d.The Contractor must advise Delta Urban Forestry when removing the lock blocks to ensure tree protection is present. e.The holes where the lock were are to be back filled and covered with top soil, which can be utilized (if available) from excavation cuts from other areas of the project site.
