A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The intent of this project is to create a new bathroom at Northern Elementary, 340 Rookwood Parkway, Lexington, KY 40505. Completion - October 31, 2022 Work can begin - October 1, 2022 In the event of delay in project completion, the Contractor shall pay liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 per day. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection or waiver is considered to be in its best interest. The Board of Education reserves the right to award by item, combination of items or lot. The Board of Education also reserves the right to reject any bid where evidence or information submitted by the bidder does not provide satisfactory proof that the bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the contract. 1. Contractor shall perform all work per FCPS's Maintenance Specifications and this scope of work. 2. All supplies, materials, and equipment to be used in the performance described herein are subject to the approval of the Director of Maintenance or designee 3. Contractor must be licensed to perform work within the State of Kentucky and be OSHA certified. Contractor agrees to comply with all requirements and all applicable Federal, State, Local, and industry laws and regulations 4. Please include at least 3 references of projects that have been completed in the last 5 years. References must be for educational institutions or similar public agencies. References should include the name of the institution, a contact name, phone number and email. 5. The Contractor shall be responsible to obtain all necessary permits for work performed. 6. Prior to the provision of services by any contractor/sub-contractor when around students, contractor agrees to background checks as listed in the solicitation. I. Intent A. The scope of this will be limited to Northern Elementary. B. Work Includes: Electrical 1. Install (2) new lights in the ceiling with wall switch by door. 2. Install 1 convenience outlet with GFCI. 3. Daily cleanup is mandatory. Mechanical 4. Furnish and install (1) new Zurn horizontal carrier. 5. Furnish and install (1) new Kohler wall hung toilet Juvenile height. 6. Connect to existing domestic water with a new supply line from the opposite side of the wall. 7. Tie new toilet into the existing sanitary line and vent system on the opposite wall. 8. Install handicap ADA rails around the toilet. 9. Install new wall hung Kohler sink with Moen 8413 faucet and supply lines. 10. Add 1 or 2 sprinkler heads depending on layout. 11. Tie into the existing 4" sanitary line that runs through the room. 12. Clean up is mandatory at the end of each day. Gen Trades 1. Build 2 new walls to create a 10' x 10' bathroom 2. Install 1 door that opens out into the room with door knob hardware Hager grade 1 passage set 3410 2-3/4 US26D ARC ASA. 3. Build construction dust wall to separate the room for the entire project. 4. Remove existing vertical storage next to existing sink and the sink. 5. Reinstall both the vertical storage and sink adjacent to the new bathroom wall. 6. Remove cubbies and dispose of. 7. Remove divider curtains on both sides of the room and repair the wall and ceiling. 8. Demo the existing TV and repair the wall 9. Demo the cabinets in the room hung on the wall next to the TV. 10.
