As of September 27, 2022, no bids received. Project will rebid for next year but no specific month or date. It is the responsibility of the offeror to ensure that their proposal reach the appropriate office prior to the close time on the bid. Response received after the date and closing will be considered non-responsive and will not be opened. Bids will not be accepted via fax machine or internet e-mail. All contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the Virginia State laws governing their respective trades. The successful bidder will be required to obtain all necessary liability insurances to hold the City of Martinsville harmless and will be required to furnish all certificates of such insurance. All materials used and work done shall be subject to the inspection, test and approval of the Director of Water Resources of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, or his duly authorized representatives. The successful bidder shall enter into a written contract within ten (10) days of the award of the contract and said contract shall embody all of the terms, conditions, and provisions of the notice to bidders, specifications and proposals. Vendor to furnish all material, labor and equipment to perform the conversion of the main building of the wastewater treatment plant. The City reserves the right to terminate this contract with a 30-day written notice if service and/or parts become unsatisfactory. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to purchase any part of the whole of items bid upon, to waive any informalities, and to award this contract as determined to be the most advantageous to the City. Proposes to furnish labor, equipment, and supervision to bore and install 16" HDPE carrier pipe with casing to replace an existing 16" Terra Cotta sewer line. Offer dirt and rock pricing for both bores. Price will include the bores welding and or fusion of the pipe, the casing and or HDPE pipe the excavation work to cover each end of the project a tail ditch on one side remove and replace the manhole on the other side, and by-pass pumping for the tie in work.
