BOILER #1 RETUBING *Must be Pre-qualified Various Trades Vendors Only / Invitation To Bid If bid price is over $75,000, you MUST include your MBE/WBE subs and relevant forms at time of bid. Questions Due Date: Aug 15th 2022, 4:00 PM CDT Description: Factory-fabricated, -assembled, and -tested, horizontal, fire-tube boilers with heat exchanger sealed pressure tight, built on a steel base; including insulated jacket, flue-gas vent, water supply and return connections, and controls. Unit to be ready for automatic operation except for connection of steam, hot water supply and return, fuel, feed water, electrical, chemical, vent and drain and blowdown. Secure a permitfrom the City of ChicagoBoiler InspectionDepartment. Flame cut out and remove (102) 2" boiler tubesfrom the #1 boiler. Remove the tube endsfrom the flue sheets. Cleanthe tube holes atthe front and rear tube sheetsfree of burrs and sharpedges. Cleanthe boiler drum free of packed scale. Installthe new tubes into the boiler. The new tubes will be mechanically tightened(rolled and flared) at both ends. Replace hand holes and cover platesremoved to perform this work. Fill the boiler and apply a hydrostatic test belowthe set pressure of the safety valve. Haul all debris and dispose of daily
