Lehighton Borough will receive sealed Bids for a Roof Replacement for: Lehighton Municipal Building located at 1 Constitution Avenue, Lehighton, Pennsylvania, 18235. The proposed work will include the removal and replacement of the existing roof materials at the Lehighton Municipal Building. The work in general will include Masonry, Metals, Wood and Plastics, Thermal and Moisture Protection, Finishes, and Specialties. Work is anticipated to start in September of 2022 and all work shall be completed within 120 calendar days of the date of project commencement. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Borough of Lehighton or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds in the amount of not less then one hundred percent (100%) of the estimated amount. An acceptable surety company is any one included in the latest issue of the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570 listings and approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance to do business in Pennsylvania. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this Project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The Borough of Lehighton reserves the right to reject all or any Bids or parts thereof, and waive technicalities as it deems best in the interest of the Borough. Additionally, all unit price and total cost amounts must be completed on the bid sheets to be considered a complete bid. Bids may be held by the Borough of Lehighton for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
