Site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Design plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Design and construction of the pedestrian bridge that will connect to all four corners of the intersection at Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard. This location is a high-crash intersection and separating out the pedestrian traffic should result in increased capacity and safety. The project will be administered by the city of Las Vegas in coordination with Clark County Public Works. This project is included in the city's FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program. As of February 27, 2024, this project is very preliminary. A firm timeline for bidding and construction has not yet been confirmed. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
