Reference number : 1634240 Review Title : Renovation of facades and windows at the Hubert-Aquin pavilion - Phase 2 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2022-09-12 Submission sent electronically accepted: Yes, in a single submission document Estimated value: $6,056,100 to $9,099,999 University of Quebec in Montreal, hereinafter called the Owner, having its head office at 1430, rue Saint-Denis, H2X 3J8, Montreal, Quebec, is requesting tenders for renovation work on brick masonry facades and the replacement of windows at Pavillon Hubert-Aquin (A), is located at 400, rue Sainte-Catherine Est, in Montreal. This second renovation project is part of a renovation plan for the entire building which will be spread over several years. The subject of this call for tenders is the partial renovation of the Berri sector, which includes the Berri facade, mainly levels 3 to 6, and the facades overlooking the roofs adjacent to the interior courtyards. The project could be carried out in 2 stages over 2 years. Work includes, but is not limited to: Replacement of brick facings; Reinforcement of structural lintels; Replacement of the aluminum windows; Replacement of aluminum shutters; Addition of structural supports for the fenestration Replacement of doors, frames and hardware Insulation and sealing works; Demolition, protection, solinating, leveling and other work necessary for the complete completion of the Work. The work also involves all related work such as: development and cleaning of the site, temporary protective work, repairs and modifications to existing interior fittings, jointing work, repairs and required drilling. The Contract also includes the recovery of certain existing equipment and its reinstallation. The Contractor must consider that the users and occupants of the building will continue their activities during the work, in the spaces adjacent to the work areas as well as on the floors above and below. The Contractor shall act in such a way as to minimize inconvenience to users and personnel. The Contractor must not, under any circumstances, prevent the free access of users to spaces other than those expressly designated for carrying out the work. The Contractor shall ensure that users will have access to premises and facilities in a safe, healthy and seamless climate. The Contractor will be fully responsible for controlling access to the premises and the site. In situations where the Contractor must carry out work elsewhere in the building or in cases where he must cut electromechanical services, he will do so outside normal hours of occupation by users, according to the authorizations of the Owner. Finally, the Contractor will be fully responsible for security and temporary protection on site. The Contractor must carry out his work according to the sequences provided for in article 3.2 of the Additional and/or special general conditions and coordinate his work schedules with the Owner, taking into account the restrictions relating to noisy work. Interior Works include, but are not limited to, interior mobilization, installation of temporary partitions and guards, removal and reinstallation of blinds, removal and reinstallation of windows (frames and glazing), demolition and construction of interior ceiling sections, interior painting and finishing joints (caulking) as well as the correction of deficiencies, demobilization and final cleaning. The Owner reserves the right not to consider a request for clarification made by a potential bidder if this request is sent to him less than 3 working days before the deadline date and time set for the receipt of bids. Bidders are responsible for the choice of Subcontractors and Suppliers, both for their solvency and for the content of their bid, and must inform them of the conditions they intend to impose on them and ensure that they hold the required permits and licenses. . The Owner does not undertake to accept any Submissions received. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
