**As of October 6, 2022 this project has been awarded to two contractors which are Buz Plaxico Dozer Service, Inc. with bid amount of $437,767.78 for Contract A and Revell Construction Company, Inc. with bid amount of $221,692.50 for Contract B with a total bid amount of $659,460.28** **As of September 23, 2022 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Sealed Proposals for the construction of the Timberlake - Wildersville Road Gas Main - Contracts A and B project will be received at the office of the Lexington Utilities. (Please note that the bid opening will be held at the Lexington Utilities Gas and Water operations building at 180 Maple Street, Lexington.) Sealed proposals that are to be mailed in prior to the bid opening shall be addressed to Lexington Utilities, 54 Monroe St., Lexington, TN 38351; Attn. Michael Harper, GM, and must arrive before the 10:00 AM deadline to be considered." The project will include the following described construction: CONTRACT A: The furnishing and installing of approximately 15,900 linear feet of 4-inch diameter, 2708 MDPE gas main, approximately 160 linear feet of 2-inch diameter, 2708 MDPE gas mains, by open cut and directional drill methods under roadways, driveways, streams, etc., and appurtenances including polyvalves, detection tape, tracer wire, backfill, tie-ins, 3/4 " PE service line, service line reconnections, restoration, gravel drive restoration, soil erosion control measures, traffic control, and all other appurtenances and other work as shown on the Construction Drawings or indicated in the Contract Specifications. CONTRACT B: The furnishing and installing of approximately 14,100 linear feet of 2-inch diameter, 2708 MDPE gas mains by open cut and directional drill methods under roadways, driveways, etc., and appurtenances including polyvalves, detection tape, tracer wire, backfill, tie-ins, 3/4 " PE service line, service line re-connections, restoration, gravel drive restoration, soil erosion control measures, traffic control, and all other appurtenances and other work as shown on the Construction Drawings or indicated in the Contract Specifications. Subject to the provisions of Chapter 6 of Title 62 of the Tennessee Codes Annotated, the Contractor's attention is directed to the Tennessee Codes Annotated Section 62-6-119 which states that it will be necessary for each bidder and their subcontractors to show evidence of a license before his bid will be considered and that the license number, expiration date, and that part of classification applying to the bid appear on the envelope containing the bid; otherwise the bid shall not be opened. The City of Lexington reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of the notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The City of Lexington further reserves the right to reject all Proposals.
