The Work is located along the Conveyance System corridor and the Sewer District 1 Collection System. The Conveyance Corridor begins at the Lake Street Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)and extends south along the existing Lake Street Outfall, along the Lackawanna Trail bike path to a point on the east bank of the Chemung River, crossing the Chemung River to the Luce Street Boat Launch, and continuing south along a floodplain bench parallel to a USACE flood control levee system to a point opposite the Milton Street WWTP ,crossing the USACE flood control levee system ,and onto the grounds of the Milton Street WWTP. TheLake Street WWTP is located at 1700 Lake Street, Elmira, New York, 14901. The Luce Street Boat Launch is located at 700 Luce Street, Elmira ,New York, 14904. The Milton Street WWTP is located at 600 Milton Street, Elmira, New York,14904. A complete depiction of the Conveyance System Corridor is presented on the Contract Drawings. The Sewer District 1 Collection system is located in the Towns of Big Flats, Elmira, and Horseheads, and the Villages of Horseheads and Elmira Heights. The Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, constructing the Work described below and all related appurtenances. The Work includes, but is not limited to the following: Construction of a new 48" gravity sewer Conveyance System Construction of the Dunn Field Siphon System Construction of the Siphon Entrance Structure Construction of the three siphon barrels crossing the Chemung River Construction of the Siphon Discharge and Transfer Flow Structure Construction of a USACE flood control levee crossing by pipe jacking Demolition of the Lake Street Outfall discharge pipe. Contracting Method: The Project will be constructed under multiple prime contracts: Contract 5A - Conveyance Construction. Total MWBE Participation Goals: 20%
