Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Dalton, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.

The principal items of construction are: Construction of a 6,369 lineal feet, 8 foot wide asphalt multi-use trail along the City of Dalton property and permanent easement in Dalton, Georgia ("Project") with a bid alternate of a 1,647 lineal feet, 8 foot wide asphalt multi-use trail along the City of Dalton property and permanent easement in Dalton, Georgia ("Alternate"). The project will require the contractor to construct an asphalt trail, an asphalt parking lot, gravity walls, gabion walls, a timber boardwalk, drainage structures and fencing with an access gate. The bid alternate will require an asphalt trail and a pre-engineered bridge. The project begins at the Eagle Scout Trail Head located at 1027 Chattanooga Avenue, Dalton, Georgia 30720 and will end at a tie in to a gravel utility drive in Haig Mill Lake Park located at 161 Shiloh Way, Dalton, Georgia 30720. Bidders shall inform themselves of and comply with all conditions and specifications contained in the bid package, contract, related documents and State and Federal Law. One Contract shall be awarded covering all work and the maximum time for completion shall not exceed 270 consecutive calendar days from the starting date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must agree to pay as liquidated damages the sum of $300.00 per each consecutive calendar day thereafter. Due consideration will be given to delivery of materials in specifying starting date. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the bid to be considered. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids (and/or alternates) and to waive formalities and re-advertise.
