Bathroom Construction The City of Martinsville requests bids to build a bathroom inside the Warehouse complex adjacent to the existing men's locker room/bathroom. The work will entail jackhammering concrete, building dividing walls, installing four toilets and partitions, two urinals and sinks, painting, and a little finish work. The work will also consist of enclosing a walkway between the existing locker room /bathroom and the new bathroom to create an enclosed passage and installing two access doors. All questions about this work can be addressed to Randy Gregory, Superintendent of the City Shop. The attached document is meant to give guidance as to the position of the fixture and the size and nature of the fixtures. The drawing is not to scale. The City is requesting two bids one for all construction, and one for just the plumbing, lines, and fixtures with the City of Martinsville doing the majority of the carpentry work, a choice will be made between the bids. Any contractors that bid on the project previously will need to resubmit. It is the responsibility of the offeror to ensure that their proposal reach the appropriate office prior to the close time on the bid. Response received after the date and closing will be considered nonresponsive and will not be opened. Bids will not be accepted via fax machine or internet e-mail. All contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the Virginia State laws governing their respective trades. The successful bidder will be required to obtain all necessary liability insurances to hold the City of Martinsville harmless and will be required to furnish all certificates of such insurance. All materials used and work done shall be subject to the inspection, test and approval of the Director of Public Works of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, or his duly authorized representatives
