Renovation of a residential development in Penetanguishene, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

This Request for Tender is being issued by the County of Simcoe on behalf of Simcoe County Housing Corporation (SCHC). The Simcoe County Housing Corporation (SCHC) owns and operates rental housing throughout the County of Simcoe. Most of these houses are currently occupied and the SCHC is replacing and upgrading all Windows at the following locations: - 25 detached family homes located on Gignac Drive and John Street in Penetanguishene, ON. - 8 townhouse and 2 semi-detached family homes located on Fitton Street in Midland, ON. SCHC is seeking well qualified contractors to conduct a complete a retrofit replacement of all windows above grade. Contractors are to provide per unit/optional pricing to replace the basement windows. New windows to be white vinyl framed with integrated brick mold as per the Scope of Work included in this document. All windows must be energy star compliant for Zone 2 or better and meet the minimum ratings. All windows must feature self- locking latches (window locks) and 'tenant operational' safety restriction devices limiting the window opening to four inches and all windows to feature internal 'between the glass' 5/16" flat grilles.
