The project consists of the following: Base Bid: The Work of the Base Bid includes, but is not necessarily limited to Renovations, re-roofing and air conditioning of the Mamou High Gymnasium. Removing the low roof trusses and reroofing with taper insulation and PVC membrane roofing. Installation of root top package AC units with through wall ducted supply and return air. Installation of new main electrical service to power the AC systems and e-power the existing building. Exterior metal wall panel infill, and downspout work. Interior painting, floor repair and refinishing, new plumbing fixtures, new toilet partitions, new metal doors, new insulation and liner panels attached to existing roof joists For Renovations and HVAC Additions to Mamou High School The Instruction to Bidders, Bid Form, Agreement between Owner and Contractor, Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond and Payment Bonds. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the Base Bid, and must be in the form of a Bid Bond written by a surety or insurance company complying with R.S. 38:2218 C. The Bid Bond shall be in the favor of the Owner and shall be accompanied by appropriate power of attorney. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount, written by a surety or insurance company meeting the requirements noted in R.S. 38:2219 A. (1)(a), (b) and (c). The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with R.S. 38:2212 (A) (1)(b), the provisions and requirements of this Section, and those stated in the Advertisement for Bids, and those required on the Bid Form shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of R.S. 38:2214. As a requirement under Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2163, this project is classified as Building Construction. Pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statutes 38:2212(A)(1)(F) and 38:2212.1(B)(4), vendors/contractors now have the option to submit their bids and bid bonds, electronically. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Primary contractor classification: and/or subclassification specialty - General Construction: All contractors must be licensed in the state of Louisiana. No bidder may withdraw his Bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Liquidated damages shall be $200.00 per day.
